Last Update (July 16, 04)
Welcome to the R/C sailing club (P.R.S.C) website. The club was informally started in January 17, 1998 by a handful of RC sailors from Manila, who sail their RC sailboats at Taal lake. Through the help of Sailphi, the most active organization that is helping to promote sailing in the Philippines, the RC Sailing club started inviting people to join. The club organizers were pleasantly surprised to find out that there are quite a few persons who already owns RC sailboats and are very excited to join. They also found out that the new "pioneer" members owned really great boats such as CR-914s, Yamaha boats and other 1 meter classes.
GOAL
The Philippine RC Sailing club was established to unite and organize RC sailing enthusiasts in the Philippines, to be able to further develop and promote the hobby.
The club will be promoting regattas/races, and helping in finding, identifying and developing places to sail! The club will also be able to facilitate the formation of fleet, by getting together interested persons to join a one design class model to sail and race.
As soon as hobby shops realize that there is a market for R/C boats, they will start making more and more models available.
Recruitment of members:
Membership is open to everyone! Persons who
are only just planning to purchase one, are also very much welcome. Thos
who don't have boats and have no plans to own one are also welcome, some
of the members can lend their boats to you to sail, from time to time!
Membership fee
There is no membership fee needed to join
the club, as it is an informal club to organize rc sailing enthusiasts.
Just inform us that you want to join the club!

The LIST There are a few boats available at the local rc hobby shops which are good first boats and can also compete in future open class races. Click Here to go to the list of boats locally available, it also includes boats that club members already own and sail. (includes specifications and classifications)
All of the boats only require common 2 channel
remote control units.
The club currently have the following classes of RC sailboats. We encourage would be RC sailboat owners to consider purchasing a boat which is included in the club classes to be able to join class races.
PRSC IOM CLASS- This is a new upcoming class which promises to be the best and fastest so far, the IOM is short for International One Meter class boat which is a semi developmental class, allowing development for Hulls but using One design rigs/sail plans. (Locally made boats available)
PRSC MINISOLING CLASS - A one maker class (Victor boats), based on the ISAF-RSD recognized Soling One Meter. This is an original PRSC club class. Class rules allow members to sail virtually similar boats, so winning will be up to the sailing skills of the members. (Imported from Victor USA)
PRSC SOLING 30 CLASS - A semi development class based on the popular Mini Soling class. Class rules allow members to build boats with kits or scratch build. The Soling 30 class allows more materials to be used, but keeping the dimensions of the boat strictly regulated. (Locally made boats available)
PRSC SOLING ONE METER CLASS - A fairly new class, based on the Soling design, it is the bigger brother of the Mini soling class. There is a similar One design class in the US and in some other countries, but these are based on the Victor Soling one meter, which are accepted as within this class, however there are locally made boats with fiberglass hulls which comprises most of the fleet. (Locally made boats available or from Victor USA)
