Last Update (07/16/04)
The club currently have the following classes of RC sailboats. We encourage would be RC sailboat owners to consider purchasing a boat which is included in the club classes to be able to join class races.
PRSC IOM CLASS- This is a new upcoming class which promises to be the best and fastest so far, the IOM is short for International One Meter class boat which is a semi developmental class, allowing development for Hulls but using One design rigs/sail plans. (Locally made boats available already!)
PRSC MINISOLING CLASS - A one maker class (Victor boats), based on the ISAF-RSD recognized Soling One Meter. This is an original PRSC club class. Class rules allow members to sail virtually similar boats, so winning will be up to the sailing skills of the members. (Imported from Victor USA)
PRSC SOLING 30 CLASS - A semi development class based on the popular Mini Soling class. Class rules allow members to build boats with kits or scratch build. The Soling 30 class allows more materials to be used, but keeping the dimensions of the boat strictly regulated. (Locally made boats available)
PRSC SOLING ONE
METER CLASS - A fairly new class, based on the
Soling design, it is the bigger brother of the Mini soling class. There is a
similar One design class in the US and in some other countries, but these are
based on the Victor Soling one meter, which are accepted as within this class,
however there are locally made boats with fiberglass hulls which comprises most
of the fleet. (Locally made boats available or from Victor USA)
