It's in the Blood: The Magalit Musical Legacy

Pastor Bel and his family are hardly strangers to DCBC. Aside from having Pastor Bel preach a well-attended sermon series on Genesis last year, DCBC enjoyed a musical treat from the Magalit ladies at our English worship service last February 5th, the inaugural worship service of Pastor Bel as DCBC Senior Pastor. Manang Lety and her two daughters treated us to a beautiful rendition in three-part harmony of the hymn "Thou Art Coming," right after Pastor Bel's sermon on 'The Lord's Supper.'

Looking further back in time, Pastor Bel himself, in his third and final (he did 6) Genesis lecture last year, focused on the love between Adam and Eve as a model for men, and sang "Some Enchanted Evening," a capella. Luci Magalit, the couple's daughter played a lyrical piano during last year's Christmas cantata and more recently, honored her father at his Feb. 25th installation by playing keyboards. While DCBC justly takes pride in its able and seasoned choir and musicians, fresh contributions to the pleasing sound we send up to Heaven, are always welcome.
