Remittances In March 2005 Post Double-Digit Growth Anew |
|
Cash remittances from overseas Filipino workers coursed through commercial
banks grew by 15.9 percent to US$840 million in March 2005. This brought the
cumulative cash remittances for the first quarter to US$2.3 billion, or a
growth of 16.6 percent from the comparable level a year-ago. This rate of
growth exceeds the expected growth of 10 percent to US$9.4 billion in 2005.

PhilSend -- Latest Agency Reviewed |
|
PhilSend is the latest agency we have on review. On the
front page you will be welcomed by an excellent quick calculator. You don't
even need to press the "Calculate Now" button. Just click anywhere on the
calculator form. However, what isn't clear to me is how the 2.3% card
payment surcharge figures in. Good news though
for those who are uncomfortable giving out their SSN information. On
PhilSend you can just send in your driver's license information instead.
PhilSend accepts card or ACH payments. ACH is recommended to avoid the 2.3%
surcharge for card payments. |
